About:
Monique Muse is a sculptor and designer based in Philadelphia. Her practice studies the home, exploring themes of access, portability, and the remnants of habitation. Through a combination of functional forms and photography, she documents the ways in which space, memory, and our senses shape the understanding and experience of habitation.
Muse received a Bachelors in Fine Art from New York University. Her work has been exhibited in Maryland (2016), New York City (2018, 2020) and Philadelphia (2023). In 2022, she was a recipient of the Philadelphia Fellowship for Black Artists. She currently designs hardware, storage, and mirror products for Anthropologie Home.
